Visionary Leadership at the Intersection of Technology and Strategy
Alex Ludwig is a seasoned IT leader with over 20 years of experience spanning cybersecurity, digital transformation, and infrastructure strategy. He began his career in Germany, studying Communications Engineering at Siemens Technology Academy, and went on to lead major IT initiatives across industries including automotive, eCommerce, and news media.
Before relocating to Nova Scotia, Alex was part of the leadership team at an ISO 27001-certified data center, managing cross-functional teams and driving compliance, security, and operational growth.
Now a Canadian citizen, he partners with businesses across Atlantic Canada as a fractional CTO and CIO, helping align technology with long-term business goals. Backed by an MBA in Macroeconomics and Modern Monetary Theory, Alex combines deep technical expertise with strategic insight.
Fluent in English and German, he brings a thoughtful, grounded approach to every engagement.
Where Sci-Fi Meets Strategy
Pluragon started as a one-person idea with a sci-fi heart, and a typo that changed everything.
Nearly four years ago, Pluragon began as a solo venture grounded in a passion for technology, systems, and the belief that everything in business is connected. The founder, a lifelong sci-fi fan, saw technology not as something isolated, but as a multi-dimensional force reaching into every conversation, every process, every layer of strategy.
Inspired by the hypercube (aka tesseract), a theoretical 4D object, the company name originally began as “Plurigon” - a blend of plural and polygon, symbolizing infinite dimensions and many-sided thinking. But then came a typo. A single letter changed, and “Pluragon” was born. It felt right. It sounded like it came from a sci-fi universe, a sentient system in a Larry Niven novel or a helpful AI in a Denis Villeneuve film.
It stuck.And now, so has the philosophy:Technology in Every Dimension.
